Setting up a Second Office in Bulgaria with 6 .NET Developers in 90 Days
The Challenge
Our client was a Dutch IT investment company that had acquired a Bulgarian software team in Lovech, Bulgaria. They wanted to scale up the company with modern technology while doubling the team from 6 to 12 developers. They had no dedicated recruiter in the Netherlands or Bulgaria and their job ad didn’t yield any results.
How We Did It
- Checked the potential for additional recruitment in Lovech.
- Advised to go to Plovdiv instead based on research (# of candidates, # of competitors, salaries, available office space,…)
- Created an attractive job ad and started posting on different jobsites and dedicated Facebook groups. Reached out to candidates proactively.
- Set up online interviews followed by regular job days with face to face meetings in Plovdiv. Worked closely with the client to make sure candidates got an offer in the days following their interview sessions.
